New Client Information (FAQ)

Thank you for considering HappyTails!

Thank you for considering HappyTails!

We accept new clients Monday through Thursdays from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm. We do not accept new dogs Friday through Sunday.

There is no appointment needed for your first day – we just need to see proof of up-to-date vaccination records for Parvovirus, Distemper and Rabies with expiry dates. If your dog receives the Bordetella (Kennel Cough) vaccine they must wait 10 days before returning to HappyTails, we do not require the. Bordetella vaccine.

We also have a Membership and Release Form to be filled out. We require for every pet to have an Emergency Contact that is not an owner, that is able to pick up in the case of an emergency if we cannot contact the owners.

We offer a free 90-minute assessment, or we have Rookie Monday and Tuesdays which is $20 including tax, for a full day promotion for your first visit.

All dogs must come in on a leash, flexi (retractable) leashes are not permitted in HappyTails. We also have a collar policy that requires all dogs in daycare to be wearing a regular buckle release collar. We cannot have any chain collars, martingale style collars, harnesses, prong collars or belt-buckle style collars in our daycare. We are an e-collar friendly daycare, if your dog uses a remote training collar you are welcome to bring that with them, HappyTails will not put any training collars on dogs that do not come with them.

Hotel Requirements

All HappyTails locations are staffed 24/7/365, which allows you to drop off and pick up at any hour. It also allows us to offer flexibility for drop off times. We do have an additional $10 fee to drop off for hotel between 7:00pm-7:00am. Dropping off between these hours requires special care for your pup to help them settle in before bed time.

Prior to booking a hotel stay we require the following assessments:

1-6 nights: requires a minimum of an 8 hour day of daycare with a meal.

7+ nights:  requires a day of daycare and a hotel trial night.

*All guests must provide an emergency contact available to pick up in the event of any emergency, if you are leaving the country or have a stay 7+ nights we require a secondary emergency contact.
