Ashley has had such a true and genuine passion for animals since a child. As a young girl she would search for anything she could grasp to read and educate herself on dogs. She’d spend hours memorizing all the different breeds, always extending her knowledge through various canine related literature. Ashley always knew she wanted to have a career involving dogs, only uncertain of where that would take her. She soon discovered her talent for grooming, and knew that is where she fit best.
Ashley started her career as a Canine Stylist several years ago and hasn’t looked back. She has her CPPS Canine Stylist certification and is working towards completing all levels of CPPS certification. Ashley tirelessly searches for any and all tools that will help improve her talent, including but not limited to: seminars, books, articles, and even more experienced professionals. Ashley strives to continue educating herself so that she can be the best stylist, both for her four and two legged friends.
Ashley loves other things as well, such as listening to electronic dance music. Most of her free time is spent with her amazing Belgian Malinois, Eevee. They love to train, play fetch, tug-o-war, and on occasion, sit on the couch snuggling and playing video games.

Senior Training Instructor
Amanda began obedience training with her first dog in 1998 under the mentorship of Margaret Ekosky of Winnipeg K9 Education. A couple of years later Amanda started as an instructor under Margaret’s guidance. Amanda learned to train dogs from puppies to adult in various training levels from family pet to competition. Obedience training will allow you to have the dog you want as a pet or to get involved in sports with them. At Happy Tails, we all believe in responsible dog ownership and various training methods emphasizing positive reward based training, making it fun for them and for the owner.
