We all wish we could take our beloved pooch with us everywhere. When you can’t take them with you, leave them and your worries behind at Happy Tails Resort and Spa! We aren’t your typical boarding facility, in fact we are far from it! Your dog will play with their 2 legged and 4 legged best friends all day in daycamp, limiting actual kennel time to only meals and bedtime.

We cater to feline friends too at Happy Tails Pet Resort and Spa! We have committed our upstairs area to our fellow cat lovers! Our custom built-in luxury cat condos overlook our open concept lobby area, giving your cat tons of natural light and plenty of entertainment and mental stimulation. We have a great cat play room that features plenty of room to roam and explore.
Our daycamp is divided into multiple areas, so we can easily divide dogs into different groups if we feel necessary, whether it is based on size or personality. We are happy to accommodate multiple dog families with our special multiple dog pricing. We are a 24/7 facility, that operates 365 days of the year, so we can accommodate your busy lifestyle!

We are constantly looking at ways to provide Winnipeg the best dog daycamp experience, and one biggest commitments is sending team members to our partner trainer Debbi at Prairieburn K9 Academy. We are so thankful to have Debbi as a constant resource and to have someone with common goals and ideas as to how a dog daycare facility should be run. We always aim to provide a stable, safe and healthy environment for all of our guests. What does this look like? We only allow balanced play; we do not allow rough playing that can result in a scuffle or any unstable play where one dog is playing more rough than the other. We do not allow zooming or chasing as it can activate prey drive in dogs as well as result in injuries from tackling or running into walls and other obstacles, it can also result in the zooming dog’s running over resting dogs or team members. We discourage undesirable behaviour such as excessive barking, humping and jumping on staff. We only believe in encouraging and allowing behaviour that we want to see out of our own family dogs. We understand that most pet owners put a lot of work into moulding and training their dog into the best pup possible, and we want to be your partner in that.
Nobody does the pet spa like Happy Tails! Our certified groomers will book your dog in a five hour grooming slot, 8am-1pm, 10am-3pm or 12pm-5pm. This time allocation allows us to give your dog a break whenever we feel necessary. Each spa treatment includes your dog’s nails being trimmed and filed, ears plucked and cleaned, application of a bacteria reducing tooth enzyme, deep cleansing shampoo and conditioner, hand blow dry, a complete brushout, your choice of perfume and a complimentary bandana. As a bonus, of course all our spa clients have access to the entire Happy Tails facility, including the Daycamp!

Love Happy Tails! We started taking our puppy Huckleberry this past month and he loves it! He’s so tuckered out after a full day of play. The pictures posted throughout the day are great, and the report cards too! We took him for his first groom yesterday and they did a wonderful job. The staff are always so friendly, and I know my pup is in safe hands when I drop him off. Will definitely be making visits a weekly thing for him!

I took my dog for grooming. The poor thing has cuts in both ears, the skin inside the ears is red and inflamed, his butt has been so closely shaved that the skin is raw and the skin on his testicles is red and shows scrap-like marks. I wrote a letter to point this out but have yet to hear back. I’ve seen my dog get groomed before and he is quiet and docile. I do NOT recommend Happy Tails.

Our pup has been coming to Happy Tails Samborksi for the last 7 months and we have been very happy. She’s been groomed many times and even stayed one time for a few nights. Most recently Nadeen went above and beyond for us when our pup went into season and we were not aware. I panicked. Nadeen was calm and helpful and could tell I was having a stressful day (my son was also home sick from school and I got the call to pick up our pup during an important work meeting so I was super overwhelmed - just one of those days!) Nadeen explained to me what I needed to know about our pup being in season (this is my first experience with this) and was so patient and kind. She turned my entire day around at a time where I was ready to just cry. Thank you HT and Nadeen for the fabulous service!

Happy Tails has been our only daycare for 4 years now and we love going there! My dogs are more excited to go there than they are to go anywhere else. The staff is always warm and friendly and go out of their way to pay special attention to our dogs. My dogs will not be coming back to happy tails. Apparently dogs are not allowed to run around and have zoomies, which is a normal dog behaviour. My dog enjoys running and being chased, she has had no problems with other dogs at her previous daycare (only left due to poor ownership) nor at the off leash dog park. The dogs came in Thursday for their intro and we did not get a warm friendly welcome, they seemed annoyed when I said it wasn’t for just a nail trim. Today again when I tried for a full day the staff were cold. Inform new clients from the get go if you have certain standards such as dog can’t bark, or wooo, or run around and be a dog, because obviously you just want lazy dogs at your facility.

And bringing in a trainer to help with your employees and keeping everyone educated. My boys are my everything and I feel they are in good hands here. Very well priced and they do exactly what you ask of them when you bring your furry friend in. Jimmy goes in looking like he just crawled out of a ditch and comes out like an entirely new man, he’s hardly recognizable afterwards. These guys do a great job and are easy to deal with, happy with everything they do for me especially after my dog terrorizes all the other dogs.

We’ve used both the St Anne’s and Samborski locations, but have gone to Samborski’s most recently and most often. Staff are great to both human and four legged guests! My Nova (Great Pyrenees) is super shy and takes a while to warm up, but she always has a little tail wag for Samborski Staff.When I leave my fur baby with HappyTails I know that she’ll be safe and well taken care of. Plus having the photos of her day is awesome and soothes any anxieties I may have! They have great indoor and outdoor facilities!

This is an amazing facility where the staff really get to know your dog (and you!) by name. After the first couple of visits, the staff greeted my pup by name and when picking her up, I knew they paired my face with my pup from their greeting. She is always super excited for her days here - so much so that she does not even look back as they bring her in. Would highly recommend!

My dog Gus is a Chocolate Lab who is very intense and he has been going there since he was a puppy. The staff have worked hard to make day care a positive experience for him. They work with me to deal with his intensity and anxiety, offering suggestions and are always available to listen. Gus has had hotel stays a few times and is excited to go and tired and happy when I pick him up. I have recommended HappyTails Pet are sport and Spa to every pet owner I know. We took our dog there for a deshed and a nail trim. When my husband picked our dog up he was told that she was too scared to groom but they were able to bathe her and brush her and charged him $78 - in our opinion that's a hefty price tag for things we do with her at home already.

Took my 13 week old puppy for his first day at Happy Tails. I can vouch that he had a blast. Passed out on the way home and was out for the rest of the night! I also enjoyed seeing pictures posted on their facebook page - you can tell by the photos he had the best day with all his new Fur-friends! Staff were helpful and friendly! I’ve given HappyTails multiple tries. There have been good times and bad, unfortunately my last few visits have left me feeling uneasy. I’ve had multiple encounters with snarky or rude staff, when I’ve had perfectly reasonable questions. I’ve has my appointment lost and the situation corrected only after lengthy conversation with the manager. I’ve been told my dog isn’t good with grooming, which is true, however I was told the only solutions were to sedate or shave her... fortunately I have found a different solution. To now hearing of her being “corrected” for barking (dogs bark, I don’t understand the issue but that’s not a huge concern) and being “literally shoved” into a kennel where she then (obviously) exhibited signs of stress. Happy Tails is the best!! We started taking our dog Beethoven to this day care after we moved to the neighbourhood and met other pet owners who raved about the facility and the staff. We have not been disappointed! Beethoven loves playing with all the other dogs and the staff love seeing him walk through the door. It gives us a lot of confidence as owners when we drop him off that he will be well loved and looked after for the day. Plus, he is super tired at the end! The facility is always extremely clean and we love watching the Instagram videos during the day to see our pup!

We always bring our fur baby Charlee, to Happy Tails for daycare and when we are out of town for a few days. This past holiday season, we had to bring her for 12 nights and we were worried (I was just sad to leave her) that it was too long. Well we just picked her up last night and although she was so excited to see us that she peed, she was sad to leave. She’s been sleeping non stop and I can tell she has the best time! The staff at both locations are amazing- so friendly and helpful and caring! She used to be sketchy around other dogs , sometimes aggressive but within a few weeks of her at day care interacting with all the dogs, her behaviour improved significantly. You guys are killing it!!! Thank you!!!

I have been bringing Daisy my one year old chesapeake to Happy Tails Samborski location 5-6 days a week while I'm at school and work. She absolutely loves it here and the staff are amazing. They always make sure to keep you updated and post multiple photos throughout the day so you can see what your pup's up to all day. I get them to trim her nails monthly and they do an amazing job, can't even hear her nails touch the floor after they trim them! I would highly recommend bringing your pet here.

We have had Leroy at both locations and he loves it! However we have made the switch to Samborski as it is much closer to home and the facility is huge. A big plus is the fenced large dog play area outside! We have always had courteous service and have been contacted if something comes up. Leroy has boarded with both locations - wouldn’t use anyone else! The fact that he loves going there makes traveling less stressful as we know he is well taken care of and loved! The grooming services are excellent!

I’m so happy for the new Samborski location. It’s so convenient for me to get to, the new building is beautiful and spacious. More importantly, my dog absolutely loves it! I've been taking my dog here now for about 8 months. She'll go usually a few times a week and I've never had a single problem and only have positive things to say. They don't require that you pre-book like some other daycares which is super convenient as my work schedule changes from week to week and that paired with them being a 24hr facility is super convenient for people that don't always work day shifts. The staff at both locations are all so friendly and my dog is always so excited to go there and play with not only the dogs but the staff too. They've helped her gain so much confidence. She used to be a timid puppy who only felt comfortable around small dogs but now she goes in with the big dogs and loves to play with them. They really helped her adjust to that change and kept me updated at every visit with how she was doing. The staff have always communicated really well with me - whether it be something funny my dog did, who she made friends with that day, or anything else of note which I really appreciate because it shows just how much attention they're paying to the dogs. I wouldn't bring her anywhere else. If you're looking to find a daycare I highly recommend you try here (I've been to both the St Annes and the Samborski location - and both are amazing)!

We moved to Winnipeg from the East Coast a year ago and knew virtually no one. We had a small baby and an energetic dog and were living in a new city. Once we found Happy Tails, it made our move seem so much easier. Knowing that there is somewhere to take out dog, Dory where she is greeted at the door and the staff are genuinely happy to see her has been such a great experience . She has boarded there multiple times now and is groomed there as well. As an anxious dog mom, I was very hesitant to leave her but Happy Tails have always been very good in communicating and keeping us up to date on our girl. Being a high energy dog, it makes a great place for him because when he gets home he's crawling into bed for the remainder of the day from playing so much. We had our dog spend the last few days at this spa only to bring him home yesterday with large open wounds on his snout after being muzzled by their staff. They did not contact us or inform us of any issues that arrived and decided that it was humane to muzzle him. We have a four year old yellow lab an he is visibly traumatized by the treatment he received here. I would NOT recommend anyone entrust this establishment with their pet. I have contacted the staff and will be filing a grievance with the owner, the humane society and the Winnipeg Sun.

We were overseas on a trip and missing our pups but daily photo uploads of our dogs to their Facebook page provided us with comfort and happy thoughts. The staff were always quick with email updates whenever we asked how the dogs were doing. They offered complimentary baths for our dogs. In the past few months that my girlfriend, our Penny and I have experienced has been nothing short of amazing. From the moment you walk through the door you’re greeted with smiling faces and met with enthusiastic animal-loving people. Penny is an energetic, loving and fairly easy-going dog but has some anxiety over new people and places. From day one the patience and care that the staff have shown for Penny has never faltered. We keep coming back and will continue to come back because of this. They treat her like she’s one of their own and Penny’s pinned ears and tail wags show it (huge shoutouts to Lexi, Nichole, Celeste and to all the staff who have shown nothing but compassion for Penny).
