Celeste Bennett
VP – Operations
Hi! My name is Celeste, I am the General Manager and one of the owners at Happy Tails. I have never known life without at least one dog and from a very early age I knew I would have a career devoted to animals. I have been working in the pet care industry since 2013. I am a third generation CKC registered breeder of English Setters and now breed Miniature Long Haired Dachshunds and am working towards my Canadian Kennel Club Judging License. I am owned by two dachshunds “Phoebe” and “Nyx” as well as a rescue kitty “Thackery Binx”. I also have two two-legged kids Blayke and Blaire. Before HappyTails, I was managing another pet care facility in Winnipeg while in university for Animal Sciences. After a few months in the industry, I knew I found my calling! When I’m not at work you can find me spending time with my family, camping, researching and studying anything dogs or working on my Podcast True North Terror. In addition to my “regular” job of management and operations, I also groom one day a week at the St Anne’s location. I have also completed the shadow program at Prairieburn K9 Academy under Debbi whom I collaborate closely with to ensure our facility is as balanced and safe as possible.
I am so thankful for my amazing team and clients for making my job never feel like work, if you ever have any questions about anything dog related please ask, I love to discuss anything dog and am well known as the person who will tell you “it’s just another bowl” if you are asking if you should get another dog. Nadeen Bennett
VP – Human Resources
Nadeen is our human resource and training guru! With her years of experience in the recruiting industry, Nadeen is responsible for assembling the team here at Happy Tails. She is recognized in the business community in Winnipeg for her unequaled level of customer service. You can find Nadeen at any of our three locations.
Shawn Bennett
CEO
Shawn has been involved in purebred dogs most of his life, and has bred, raised, trained and handled some of Canada’s top English Setters. He is also a licensed Canadian Kennel Club dog judge. Shawn apprenticed under some of Canada’s most well known dog handlers and trainers including Mark & Tad Dakin and Sonny & Bobbie Tougas. He is also the founder and publisher of Canada’s largest dog magazine, Canadian Dog Fancier.
